Meet & Contact Joseph Benavidez

Hi! We are a family of four from the Chicagoland area—Laura and I both work in the school system (she’s a teacher, and I’m an Occupational Therapist), and we love making the most of our breaks to head south with our two kids, Joey (8) and Annie (4).

For years, the Emerald Coast has been our favorite destination. We’ve traveled down every Spring Break, Winter Break, and Summer, soaking up the sun on the white-sand beaches of Destin, Miramar Beach, 30A, and Panama City Beach. What started as hotel stays eventually became camping adventures with our travel trailer—especially at Camping on the Gulf, where we could park just steps from the beach.

Over time, we formed friendships with other vacationing families who return year after year, just like us. We dreamed of one day having a beach home where we could gather with friends and family, creating memories for a lifetime. With God’s blessings, hard work, and a bit of luck, that dream came true. Beyond the beach, we’re a sports-loving family—Go Cubs! Go Bears! We cheer loud and proud for Joey and Annie as they play baseball, basketball, and football. We love camping, movie nights, and spending time in nature and theme parks. Our beach condo isn’t just a place to stay—it’s a place to make memories. Whether you're planning a quick weekend escape or a weeklong family getaway, we hope you feel the same peace, joy, and togetherness that we experience every time we visit.
